and snow! I love how quiet and clean the snow makes everything feel! I love that you have an excuse to cuddle up and read how long you want to with your kids because you can’t go anywhere and things that seemed so important can now wait, it is snowing! I love the memories of childhood that the falling snow brings. (Even if some of the memories involve hidden rocks in snowballs…) It got me in the mood to work on my Christmas cards and letters. It is always interesting to me to sit down and write our letter. This year I wrote it a little differently than years past. I am doing a much simpler card than years past as well. I think that is my theme right now, simple. I am trying hard to streamline and simplify. Some days I am good at it, not so much others. My doves went to bed so now I will go too. Isn’t snuggling when you know it is so cold out a dreamy thought? Have sweet dreams!

All of my kids are loving but C is all heart. He lives life big and loves big. He is my kisser and hugger. I love him dearly. Sometimes he says things that I have no idea where they come from. Today we were upstairs getting ready for the day and he says to me, “Mom, when I get to heaven I am going to jump on the clouds!” I can totally picture him (my never still unless he is asleep child) jumping from cloud to cloud. He is all heart and energy.

Letter C

Last week we were learning the letter C. We had my niece and nephew one day last week so we did some The Very Hungry Caterpillar activities on that day! We first all sat around in a circle and read the book as they strung the book pieces on a string. Here is Sis and Co stringing their strawberries.
I used the printable here from Confessions of a Homeschooler. Doves and I found the napkins and tablecloth a Target and I HAD to have them! I had set them on the table while everyone was downstairs so it was a surprise! I had snacks ready for them to eat to go along with our hungry theme! They all had a good time but were being a tad impatient to get to there snacks…:)
Can we eat yet? Do we have to take another picture??

M aunt called me a couple of weeks ago and needed a quick gift for their two baseball coaches. She was having the kids sign a baseball so I made up this little box to put them in. I didn’t write down the dimensions of the box sorry! It was a simple little box and lid though. I stamped the baseball bat and ball from the Family Accessories set in garden green. I punched a hole in the front of the box and put a piece of acetate there to protect the ball and give it a more finished look. The team colors were green and yellow, so I made the lid with a yellow accent from a retired piece of designer paper. I used the black craft ink to color the wooden knob on the top of the box which I adhered with crystal effects. I used a piece of chipboard and colored that yellow. I made a little sign on whisper white cardstock and used the thanks sentiment from the middle of the ala cart stamp So Many Thanks.Next, I added a black button and a punched garden green accent and it was done! This would be a great little box to put a special Christmas ornament in for an ornament exchange or just someone special! Have fun and if you have any questions about the box let me know!

Today I got to capture the cutest boys at a great location, Lord Hill Farms in Snohomish! Here are a few of the highlights..
Of course these are my three littles! I use to dread Christmas card picture day! The worst thing about today was the haircuts before we left. Why is it that they all scream as if I am going to scalp them when I cut their hair??

I should be in bed….but alas I am sitting here trying to plan out our annual Christmas card. (Which is way more fun than sleeping anyway…) I love this time of year! I love the crisp weather, the anticipation of the holiday festivities, family and friends!
Each night as I am putting my two older littles in bed I ask them what the best part of their day was. Today my answer would have to be hands down the first….”whuv ohh” from my smallest little. He is 2 years and 3 months and doesn’t talk as much as the other two did at his age. He doesn’t have to, everyone else does for him 
Anyway, it was the first time in his short life that when I told him I loved him he said it back. Oh, the sweet moments of motherhood!
