We made these little projects at our For the Love of Stamin’ Demonstraotr meeting. Since I had all the supplies out and the boys wanted to make something we ended up making them for some of their friends too. They are quick and simple to nice to make more than one. I started with my main base of Kraft. I sewed the pocket with black thread on my sewing machine. I stamped it in Satzon Black in using the Tasty Sweet Stamp set. I have had fun with this set! We are also using it at my mini Halloween Album class this week. Cody (my three year old) sponged the edges. Grant (my 5 year old) stamped the candy corn. I cut them out and then Cody put demintionals on everything…and yes I mean everything! We added some snips of things laying on the table to finish them off and they are ready to give!

figured out today that I will have to make about two Christmas cards a day to be ready to send my cards on December 1st…I better get crafting! I used Beate’s sketch to do this one! Beate is such a sweet person! I remember when my grandfather died in February 2008 my MIL contacted Beate to send me a card since she knew it would be awesome to get a card from a stamping great like her! I didn’t know Vicki did this but I did get a gorgeous card in the mail from Beate. She didn’t have to do that but she did which speaks alot of her character! Anyway, that is my little Beate story..
This is the card made with this sketch

Recipe:
Old Olive, Choc. chip,Real Red, shimmer cardstock
Merry Moments DP
Stampin’ UP Bigz Table Setting Die (the middle shimmer portion)
Real Red stitched ribbon
patterned Pines hostess set, Priceless set (swirl on choc. chip cardstock)
Garden Green and Old Olive ink
Square red brads, modern label punch, word window punch, mat pack, paper piercer, demintionals, sewing machine
Have a creative week! I will be back with some Halloween cards and projects this week!

I get so frustrated when I have a vision of a card, spend WAY to much time on it and I don’t really like it in the end…ugh. I will share anyway since everyone has those types of projects I am sure! I combined the splitcoast challenges from yesterday and today. (Sketch and ways to use it.) The ways to use it was a patchwork challenge. I loved the felt on the sample today so I wanted to try to incorporate that in my design. I am not sure if that is was is throwing this card off or not but it is done and sometimes you just have to say good enough right? (I am not very good at that…can you tell I am trying to convince myself
Anyway, I started with a shimmer cardbase and layered the

transparency from the night and day paper from the holiday mini. I cut the felt and stitched it a couple times on my sewing machine. I added the red ribbon tag. I embossed in black the adorable sleigh also from the holiday mini onto shimmer paper. I paper pierced that and layered it on real red cardstock. I finished that off with a vintage button in real red. I punched all of the designer paper with the 3/4 square. I layered that on a piece of basic gray. I wanted to do a black, white and red christmas card but I think that was not a great choice in this instance
Sorry about the photos, it is midnight and the lighting is not great at that time.
My Mom and I started our December daily albums today and it was fun! I got my cover done and I will show it to you in future posts! I love it! I am off to bed and going to have a big day tomorrow getting ready for my hubby to get home from hunting! I have been crafting since he left so that tells you what my house looks like!
Just one more thing….GO HUSKIES!!!

I was blog hopping other day and found this great blog that has fun sketch challenges! I thought this sketch would be fun for an idea with the candy image in the Tasty Treat stamp set. I will show you another project I did with this set maybe tomorrow. For this card I used Shimmer White as my cardbase and layered kraft and real red that I had run through the polka dot texture plate on the Big Shot (I love that thing!). I stamped the candy in Real Red Craft Ink and embossed them in clear embossing powder. I then stamped the swirl in white craft ink and embossed that with white embossing powder.

I cut them out and used te silver elastic cord form the mini catalog for the accents. I used white taffeta ribbon and I scalloped a piece of old olive and paper pierced that and put a tad of white with the white gel pen for an accent. For the sentiment I used a rub-on from last years Season of Cheer kit. I lined the inside of the card with DP from my stash of last years paper too. I have out all of my Christmas stash because today my Mom and I are starting our Daily December albums! -More information about that to come! I hope you have a creative day!
ETD:This card is 9 1/4′ x 4 and fits in a standard business envelope.

This is the egg scramble that I served last month at stamp camp. I had many requests for this so here it is! It originally came from my good friend Brooke in Boise. Enjoy!
Eggs:
1-3 T. butter
1/4c. onion
1/4 c. green pepper (if I have it-the one I made did not have it in it)
3/4-2cups cubed cooked ham, bacon or sausage
12-15 eggs, beaten
Sauce:
2T. butter
2T. flour
1tsp.chicken flavor bouillon (or one cube)
1 1/2c. milk
2 oz. (1 1 /2 cup) shredded cheese (use whatever you have on hand-I used cheedar but swiss would be good too)
1/4 c. parmesan cheese
Topping:
2 c. soft bread crumbs (not the kind in a box-real bread, if use sour dough or french bread usually)
1/4 c. grated parmesan
1/4 c. butter
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9×13 baking dish.
Melt butter and saute onion and pepper until soft. (I used the bacon fat to I think with the butter to add more flavor). Add ham (or other meat) and eggs. Cook until eggs are firm but still moist, stir frequently. Remove from heat. Pur in greased baking dish.
In separate pot, make sauce. Melt butter. Add flour and bouillon; cook until smooth and bubbly. Gradually add milk; cook until mixture boils and thickens stirring constantly. Add Cheese; stir till smooth. Pour sauce over eggs in dish, stir to mix sauce in.
In a small bowl, make topping. Combine all ingredients above; sprinkle over eggs. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
**Egg mixture can be made night before and then make sauce in the morning ot pour over and then bake.

Do you have a need to do list that never quite gets done? I do! This has been on my list for two weeks..One of our friends lost a baby to miscarriage and I have been wanting to write her a card since the day I found out. Today was one of those days that I decided to sit down for a minute and look and see what the challenges were on pre=”on “>splitcoast stampers. For the clean and simple challenge it was a sympathy card. I knew that it was the push I needed. I went to Beate’s WSC for last Friday and used her sketch (how when you have a sketch to go by does it still take me forever to do one card!). I think this all came to pass for a reason. As I sit here typing with tears in my eyes I vividly remember losing my baby two years ago today. I don’t know that anyone who has never experienced it can even relate. It is heart wrenching and forever changing. I still think of our baby that we will met in heaven often. Less than I did two years ago but I will never forget. The Lord has blessed us with three wonderful boys here on earth that I am so truly grateful for even if I do let them watch too much tv some days! Anyway, here is the card that I made for her. On the inside I used the sentiment, Here for You from the Friends 24-7 set. The main image is from the same set. The designer paper is retired SU!. It is probably one of my favorite all time SU! papers. I love the vintagy feel! Hope that you count your blessings today!
