Getting ready

card-fronts-1072_edited-1.jpgThis was demoed at regionals and was just to cute not to show my customers!card-fronts-1070_edited-1.jpgI changed this to a full sized card and added the sentiment from an earlier creation.  It is not my favorite but it will do the job!

I am getting ready to go to the Seattle area to have two workshops and a stamp camp!  What fun!  I really enjoy these events and have so much fun interacting with a great group of wonderful ladies!  It has been a stressful weekend but I got some good contacts at the farmers market.  On Friday my son was acting sick with a cough that seemed to be getting worse so my awesome husband (who I will miss terribly on my trip) and I took him to the doctor.  My sweet little Cody has walking pneumonia!  He has seems to have felt worse the past two days and we kept him home from church today.  He is running  a fever and cranky.  I think it makes mommy cranky too!  Anyway, sorry for the rambling I am so tired!  I wanted to post the cards I will be doing this week.  I don’t know if I will get to update often over the next few days.  I will for sure let you know who the winner of the blog candy is on Tuesday!  Have a wonderful week and thank you all so much for the great comments.  If you have a blog you know what a great feeling it is to get comments and learn a little about who is looking at your blog!

My first Blog candy!!

card-fronts-1068.jpg

Ok ladies, here is some of the candy!  What is included is follows:

One jumbo cloths pin (is so cute altered!)

Die cut adhesives from the SAB Simply Scrappin’ Kit

Ribbon from Miacheal’s

Stamp also from Micheal’s

6 card front size sheets of cardstock run through the Cuttlebug-Thanks Alicia!

Assorted pieces of SU! chipboard

and chocolate of course!

I really hope you enjoy this candy.  I guess anything for free is a good thing!  Sorry, no primas this time, I don’t have any either!  I really only use SU! products so I don’t get alot of the other the cool things on the market.  One of my good friends just got a Cuttlebug so she is going to graciously run it through her machine for the winner!

Ok, here is the question or questions…. I know it has been asked before but what is your favorite technique and what technique do you want to learn?  I will draw on Tuesday morning!  Please only one entry per person.

Administrative Assistant Week

card-fronts-1036-copy.jpgcard-fronts-1033-copy.jpgcard-fronts-1037-copy.jpgcard-fronts-1040-copy.jpg All three packed up and ready to go! Yeah!!

This week is administrative assistant week.  This is what I made for my husbands ladies, that sounds funny 😉 , this year.  They all work hard for him and I hope they like their gifts.  It took much longer than I anticipated but that is probably due to many interruptions and this is the 4th night I have been up past 2 a.m. so I am runningon fumes, well really diet coke.  A couple mentions…I CASED two cards from these two great stampers, Beate and Kim (see blog roll ) .  Thank you for letting me (CASE) copy and share everything!  I was runningon empty and had seem to have lost my mojo, that is if I ever had any, and you both helped me through!  Anyway, back to the point.  I am just going to list the items I used not in any particular order.  Everything was inspired by the Petals DP in the spring mini.  I love that paper and will be sad to see it go.  Maybe we will see it in a IBC sometime soon, who knows.  The colors all came from the paper.  I got the pattern for the post-it note holders from emily’s blog, also on my blog roll.  I cut the card stock at 7 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ and scored at 3 1/2″ and also at 4″.  I then embellished the front and then used sticky tape to adhere the post-it notes to the inside.  I just put the same DP in the RSVP pens and put a little ribbon on.  I would have like to do beaded pens but didn’t have the stuff and just plain ran out of time.  I used various punches, brads, ribbon, buttons, Polka Dots and petals stamp set, Big Deal Alpha set, Everyday Flexible Phrases, and Polka Dots & Paisley Set. Hope you enjoy and I hope the ladies like their gifts as well as dessert, I cheated and got one at Costco.  If I put if in my own dish do you think they will think I made it?? LOL

Hostess Gifts

I have two workshops next week and I just finished my hostess gifts so I thought I would share. Chris or Dara don’t peak!! 🙂 My hostesses are both very special to me so I hope they like their gifts!card-fronts-1031-copy.jpg

This one is a 6 x 6 tag pouch. My hostesses (my aunt and cousin) like this set and don’t have it yet so I thought they would like them. There is two of each image.  To make the pouch you cut the holes off of a 6×6 page protector.  Then I cut my cardstock 6 1/2″ x 8 1/2″.  I scored it at 6 1/2″ as well to make the fold.  I adhered the 6×6 pocket with sticky tape and cut a piece of designer paper to slip inside the pocket so you can’t see the tape.  I used Velcro tabs for the closure.  I put more DP on the flap and ribbon. Easy and fun!card-fronts-1030-copy.jpg

This one is for a hostess that travels on alot of fun cruises with her husband.  I thought she could use it to write memories in on her trip.  This might help her remember the details for when she scrapbooks her trips.  I used the anywhere glue stick to adhere the paper to a steno notebook.  I made pockets on the inside for ticket stubs and stuff like that.  I tied ribbon on each of the spirals.  I wish I had different ribbon but oh well!  I used On Board Accents and the die cuts from the hostess simply scrappin’ kit.  I punched extra round tab punches so she can have a tab for each trip!

Double Love

card-fronts-1029-copy.jpg

I created this card yesterday with my wonderful hubby in mind!  He likes cards with bright colors.  It was fun to make!  I used the paper piecing technique again that I learned at regionals.  It is just great to use scraps and makes a bold statement on the card I think.  Plus I love stripes!  I used the Double Line Doodle set that we were given at regionls.  I called demo support and they said it will be in the new catty!  Of course I had to use a background stamp, dotted.  I stamped the paisley boarder stamp in the double line doodle set on the so saffron stripe.  I cut the circles with the coluzzle.  I love that new tool of mine!  I punched two old olive circles and used those under the brads.  I got this idea from Kyla M. (see my blogroll).  Thanks Kyla!  I markered the main image and also popped out the heart with a dimensional.  I used the large and small oval punches for the love detail.  I got this idea from this weeks featured stamper on SCS.  I was happy with the results of this card!  Have a great week!  Off to get some projects done for my farmers market this weekend, hostess gifts made, and gift for my husbands administrative assistants since it is their week this week.  Let’s see if I can add a few more things to my list…:)

Sneak Peak

I was blog surfing tonight and came across this blog http://stampingoddess.typepad.com/stampin_with_the_goddess/ The reason I am posting is because she posted some information about products in the upcoming catty!  I really have no idea if it is true but it did get me a little more excited!!
