ADORABLE!

How can anyone not love newborn babies.  I want another but alas that is not in the plan, that I know of anyway.  This is my new niece, C that was just as tender and loving with her as could be, tired new daddy holding my youngest, and radiant new Mama.  Just love every one of them to pieces!  We are all looking forward to seeing them again soon!  Off to cook dinner after a fun, long day and then off to bible class!

She’s here!

I think it is a little ironic that I decided to blog about baby S. shower last night and I just got a call from my brother to say she is here!!  She and Momma are healthy which is a blessing.  She is 8 pds 2 oz. and 19 inches long. She is the same size as my middle baby.

Grant woke up this morning and walked downstairs.  He looked outside and said, “hmm, it’s kind of misty (translation-foggy).” I said, “Yep.” His reply, “I think it will brighten up!”  If we could all have the outlook of a child each day!  I hope  your day is bright no matter what the weather is!

I will post a pic of baby tonight!

Little S. Shower

Just snapped a couple pictures of the shower set up before everyone got there.  I didn’t get alot of the details on camera but oh well!  Everyone had a good time and Mommy got alot of nice things! Baby S. (my niece) should be coming in about a week!  Mommy is in my prayers for a safe and healthy delivery!  Can’t wait to get the call that she is born!  My Mom made the cake for the shower.  I gave her a picture from an old issue of Martha Stewart baby and said please make this but change, xyz and she had it happen for me!  Thanks Mom!

How is your week going?  Tomorrow is our first day of excursion and everyone is excited!  I can’t forget to take a picture of Grant for his first excursion trip!  Got in some discussions today about why we are homeschooling.  What made you decide the route you took when education your children?  I will give my thoughts on this later!  I am finishing little teacher gifts for the three other teacher Grant will have this year.  What fun!  I feel like we are getting the best of both worlds!

ETA: So after much thought and some reading I have come to the conclusion that my answer to this question will be…”this is what is right for our family right now.”  If someone really wants to discuss it I will but I think the answer is all that is needed.  Thoughts?

Have peaceful dreams!

BTW:Yes, I did notice that the tablecloths were not the same height but by the time I saw it my wonderful DH had wiped off all the crystal plates and had set all the place settings.  It is one of those things that you just overlook because you are so thankful that he helped that you would never criticize how the job got done.  DH was amazing that whole weekend with the amount of help he gave me!  I am SOOO blessed that God gave me him for my everything!

Fabric Card-Candy Cane Christmas or not?

Hi Peeps!

Another busy and crazy day here at the L household.  Did get to see my good friend Melissa today and the kids, which was a blessing for us!  School is done for the day…thankfully!  Guessing at words is not reading son.  😦  Ahh, tomorrow is a new day.

I have my class tonight and this is the other card we will be creating with the new Candy Cane Christmas fabric.  It is not just for Christmas though!  I also made the ribbon flower embellishment out of our satin ribbon, sticky strip and heat gun!  We learned how to do this at convention this past July.  That was so much fun, I can’t wait to go again next year!  Anyway, back to why you are here…the card!

Enjoy your evening!

The Kindness Quilt

Tonight as we were putting the boys to bed one of the books we read was The Kindness Quilt.  It is a book we got at the library for the boys.  We have been going over the fruits of the spirit so I have been searching for books that relate to the topics of our weeks.  We hadn’t yet read this book until tonight.  I loved it and it totally got the point across to the boys!  They want to make their own kindness quilt which I hope in turn will only promote kindness in our home and to others!   We actually read three good books tonight. The first one we read was Hurty Feelings.  It was cute too.  I teaches how to graciously except compliments by saying thank you.  We practised after the we read.  I started and told the boy one great thing about themself and they were in turn suppose to say thank you back.  G – he is so helpful, C- so thoughtful and W -that he is starting to talk so well!  Then each of the boys was supposed to tell the other one a nice thing to and they were suppose to say thank you to each other.  At the end G says, “Oh wait Mommy, we need to tell you!”  (aww, he is so great!) So he said to me, you are as sweet as a flower.  🙂  They are growing up so fast!  Ok, I said three..the next was The Punctuation Station .  It was a little above the younger two but G was trying to get the point.  It is a great story to introduce punctuation in a fun way!  Just my two cents..We are starting week two of homeschooling and we start our excursion program the week.  I will post pics of that Wed.  We are off to a light house, ferry ride and beach combing!   Have a fun, God filled week!

I’m batty for you.
