Scrapbook Club Project

Hi Ladies!

Here is the page we created for my last scrapbook club!  If you were unable to attend your packet of supplies will be with your order!  Have fun creating!

Why no posts..

I am feeling relived and thankful today!  What have we been doing for the past two weeks you ask?  (above the normal busy life we have..) Gift tags galore!  We had such a positive response for the tags for that I am so thankful!  It warms my heart that so many of you were willing to help us raise funds for Heifer International!  We made over…………..800, yes I said 800 tags!!!  We are packaging them up today to send out tomorrow.  It has taught us all more than we thought!  We have learned perseverance and the meaning of sacrifice (albeit not very much in comparison to so many other things) for others.  When  the boys had worked for hours on end on the tags and we needed to do more the next day we had the opportunity to talk about what it means to help others and to finish the jobs we started and to fulfill the promises we made!  It is nice to have them done so we can move onto other projects…my christmas cards usually go out the day after Thanksgiving but they are still being worked on as we devoted alot of time to the tags which was first priority.  A quilt that I am making as a gift and so on!  What a fun time of year to have great excuses to craft!

Here are the tags and them ready to go!  We will have some left if anyone what to snatch up the last few!!

Thanks coach!

M aunt called me a couple of weeks ago and needed a quick gift for their two baseball coaches.  She was having the kids sign a baseball so I made up this little box to put them in.  I didn’t write down the dimensions of the box sorry!  It was a simple little box and lid though.  I stamped the baseball bat and ball from the Family Accessories set in garden green.  I punched a hole in the front of the box and put a piece of acetate there to protect the ball and give it a more finished look.  The team colors were green and yellow, so I made the lid with a yellow accent from a retired piece of designer paper.  I used the black craft ink to color the wooden knob on the top of the box which I adhered with crystal effects.  I used a piece of chipboard and colored that yellow.  I made a little sign on whisper white cardstock and used the  thanks sentiment from the middle of the ala cart stamp So Many Thanks.Next, I added a black button and a punched garden green accent and it was done!  This would be a great little box to put a special Christmas ornament in for an ornament exchange or just someone special!  Have fun and if you have any questions about the box let me know!

Happy crafting!

Babies on the brain

When you are a Mom, (especially one who is homeschooling) it is important to have a good relationship with your children’s librarian!  We are so blessed to have Mrs. J at our local library.  She is super sweet and ultra helpful!  She had a baby recently and I made her these burp cloths that we will bring her for baby B!  I used the big shot scallop circle and the Serif essentials Alpha.  I think they are cute and useful!  Have a great day!

I’m back

What better post to start with than a place setting for Thanksgiving!  Sorry for the long absence.  I could go into a long diatribe of why I have been gone but all I really need to say is new house, new baby and two little boys!  All is well here and life is starting to get back to a new normal!

This is a project was made for an upcoming workshop.  We will be making the place card and invitation (it could also just be a happy thanksgiving card).  I used the set Harvest Home and the Fall Harvest Wheel.  The colors are Kraft, Really Rust, Kiwi Kiss, Elegant Eggplant and Very Vanilla.  There is a piece of vellum on the Menu as well.  That is all for now as it is lunchtime and I have some hungry little guys!  Have a wonderful day!
